Pinterest sells video ads


In case you didn’t know, video is bigger than ever. Instagram has introduced its new Explore channel to the US, Facebook has rolled out new video metrics to help publishers better understand performance, and now, Pinterest has launched video adverts.

Pinterest is a natural place for ads given its retail focus and ability to drive conversion, but video has never sat at the core of this. 67% of people on Pinterest say videos inspire them to take action, so its no surprise video is now more central to its offering to publishers and advertisers. This means yet another channel for brands to consider when evaluating how best to engage their audiences with the desire to drive product awareness and sales.
