Elton John used VR to announce his retirement from touring

 Elton John created a 6-minute VR film to announce his farewell tour. While the main announcement, took place in New York the VR film was streamed on YouTube and beamed directly to people wearing Google Daydreams at two launch events in LA and London.

 Twitter is using AI to intelligently crop image previews

 Previously, the platform automatically cropped images to focus on the centre of the image… often at the expense of the photo’s subject. Twitter have now changed this method to using neural networks to automatically crop picture previews to their most interesting part.
