Twitter introduces sponsored Moments to help connect publishers with brands
The company is selling a new type of ad: Sponsored Moments. Sponsored Moments give the advertiser the ability to add a branded cover image to the Moment in question, as well as insert their own brand’s tweets into the Moment’s round-up.

*It seems that Twitter is giving brands greater opportunities to advertise on Twitter – however, we don’t know how many people use Moments – is it worth brands investing in another mode of advertising on the platform?*

Google experiments in local news with an app called Bulletin
Google is testing a tool called Bulletin that would allow anyone to publish local news stories and events; providing a way for others to communicate information of local interest, like bookstore readings, high school sporting events, or information about street closures etc.

Facebook is coming closer to humanising its chatbots
Facebook’s engineers have built their own dataset to train chatbots with called Persona-Chat consisting of more than 160,000 lines of dialogue. The company’s researchers say giving chatbots a ‘consistent personality’ might be the key to better conversation.
