 YouTube will remove ads and downgrade discoverability of channels posting offensive videos

 After barring Logan Paul from serving ads on his video channel, YouTube has now announced a more formal and wider set of sanctions it is prepared to level on any creator that starts to post videos that are harmful to viewers, others in the YouTube community, or advertisers.

 * YouTube has said that this will be applied as a last resort and will often not be permanent, but will last until the creator removes or alters content. It will be worth watching how and if this impacts video content overall on the platform.*

New Patagonia microsite connects hyper local activists

Patagonia is giving customers a new and convenient way to take part in environmental activism. The outdoor clothing company has launched Patagonia Action Works, a digital platform that informs people of local activism opportunities so they can easily take action and help preserve the planet.

Instagram is testing screenshot alerts for stories 

Instagram is testing a feature that will show users when someone else takes a screenshot of their story. Users included in the test are getting a warning that the next time they take a screenshot of a friend’s story the friend will be able to see it.
