Facebook rolls out job posts to become the blue-collar LinkedIn

Facebook is rolling out job posts to 40 more countries. Businesses will be able to post job openings to a Jobs tab on their Page, Jobs dashboard, Facebook Marketplace, and the News Feed that they can promote with ads. Meanwhile, job seekers can discover openings, auto-fill applications with their Facebook profile information, edit and submit their application, and communicate via Messenger to schedule interviews.

*The Job posts rollout could help Facebook steal some of LinkedIn’s revenue. But the bigger opportunity is developing a similar business where companies pay to promote their job openings and land hires, but for lower-skilled local companies in industries like retail and food service.*

Twitter launches Bookmarks, a private way to save tweets  

 Twitter has announced a dedicated bookmark feature that allows users to quickly mark tweets to revisit them at a later time. The platform has also tweaked its sharing feature to simplify sharing of tweets outside of the app.

* A desire to save content for later reading is something people have asked for because of how much news circulates across Twitter. The new feature also allows users to save posts privately. Will this encourage brands to post less ephemeral, and more lengthy content on the platform? Stunning Instagram model revealed to be CGI

Photos of a stunning ‘model’ have been messing with people’s heads online as they struggled to work out if she’s real or not. Shudu Gram might look like she’s just waltzed off a catwalk somewhere, but in actual fact, she’s computer generated. Shudu even caught the eye of Rihanna after a photo of her was posted ‘wearing’ one of her Fenty Beauty lipsticks and reposted on its official account.
