Amazon plans to give Alexa a ‘memory’ 

Alexa is about to get smarter and potentially easier to use. The platform will soon be able to remember information you have instructed it to keep handy, enjoy more natural conversations without having to voice the “Alexa” prompt, and merge commerce recommendations into everyday exchanges.

* This type of feature, opens up some interesting possibilities for the future. If Alexa can remember random bits of information you tell it, then perhaps one day it could proactively act on the details by setting up reminders or other helpful tasks.*

Pinterest now lets you filter search results by skin tone

Pinterest has rolled out new changes that let users filter hair and beauty search results by skin tone ranges, as a way to make it easier to find what you may be looking for.

Snapchat will test unskippable ads in May 

According to DigiDay, the company will start testing six-second TV commercial-like ads starting around May 15. By “commercial-like,” we mean you can’t skip them at all — as it is, you can easily tap on a Snap ad to dismiss it.
