Facebook really wants people to use Stories

Facebook is testing out three ways to encourage users to embrace its Stories feature: making ‘Your Story’ the default option when users begin creating posts, making the Stories preview more visual, and finally, adding a small camera icon to their post creation area.

Twitter says it did everything it could to fight YouTube shooting hoaxes 

Twitter has defended its handling of misinformation and abuse in the aftermath of this week’s shooting at YouTube’s headquarters. In a blog post, trust and safety VP Del Harvey laid out how Twitter tried to provide ‘credible and authentic’ information about the attack, even as some users spread hoaxes about the shooter’s identity.
