Snapchat launches ‘shoppable’ AR feature in Lenses – 19.04.18

Snapchat is turning its Lenses platform into a shopping mall for brands

Starting this week, Snapchat will introduce its new Shoppable AR feature, which will let advertisers display and sell products through the app’s Lenses. Advertisers can now add a button to a Lens that takes users to a website where they can buy an associated product.

*There is no price increase for advertisers to use this feature, making it an easy sell for those companies that have already been using Snapchat to advertise. Whether it will attract new advertisers to the platform, however, remains to be seen.*

 Facebook is testing a way to let people watch video premieres in Facebook Live 

Facebook is testing a feature called Premieres, which will let creators publish already-made videos to Facebook Live. It’s a way for publishers to bring the experience of a television premiere or film trailer drop to Facebook, allowing people to experience a new video together in real time.

Toy teaches toddlers coding without screens

 

MangoBot teaches kids the principles of coding with blocks and a bot on wheels. The robot on wheels receives commands from a control module which then executes each command similarly to how computers execute computer code.
