Amazon exploring the future of sizing with 3D body scanning trial

Amazon is currently inviting people to have their bodies 3D scanned at its NYC offices. Participants are being asked to return every two weeks to have their bodies scanned over the course of 20 weeks. They are also being asked to answer a series of fitness and health questions.

 Microsoft adds customer service video chat feature to AR hardware

Microsoft has updated its headset system with an app so that users can video-chat experts while wearing it, along with screen-sharing what they’re seeing, so experts can respond with enhanced advice.

 Instagram users can buy movie tickets without leaving the app

Fandango announced that people can purchase movie tickets through Instagram, thanks to a ‘Buy Tickets’ button on Fandango’s Instagram profile. Additionally, a ‘Shop’ button will allow users to look at movie merchandise and posters directly from Instagram.

*  Fandango is one of the first within the ticketing industry to take advantage of the platform’s native shopping capabilities. It will be interesting to see how many people take advantage of being able to buy movie tickets directly from Instagram.*
