Human rights foundation highlights modern slavery with unboxing video stunt  

The Thomson Reuters Foundation has teamed up with a YouTube personality known for videos where he unboxes sneakers to an 800k strong audience to highlight the plight of modern slavery.  The video sees Jacques Slade open the package, to reveal a high-end shoe box where the word ‘Human made’ is replaced by ‘Slave made’ once it is fully opened.

The most popular mobile payment app isn’t Apple Pay … it’s Starbucks

According to market research firm eMarketer, 23.4 million consumers ages 14 and up will use the Starbucks app to make an in-store purchase at least once every six months in 2018—which means it has more users than Apple Pay, Google Pay and Samsung Pay.

Instagram now lets you mute accounts 

Instagram has introduced a way to mute accounts, giving users a way to continue following accounts without seeing their posts all the time. Muted accounts will not be made aware that they’ve been muted, and users can unmute accounts at any time.
