Instagram quietly added an in-app payments feature 

Instagram just quietly added an in-app payments feature as a test appearing for some users. The feature lets users add a credit or debit card and a pin for additional security. Users are currently able to book services from a limited number of businesses on the platform.

Facebook Messenger intros AR capability with Nike as key launch partner 

Facebook has introduced an augmented reality feature that will enable brands including Nike to offer fans more immersive experiences when speaking on Messenger. Nike will allow superfans to buy limited-edition sneakers in AR.

 Twitter advising all 330 million users to change passwords after bug exposed them in plain text

Twitter is urging all of its more than 330 million users to immediately change their passwords after a bug exposed them in plain text. While there was no evidence that any breach or misuse of the unmasked passwords occurred, the company is recommending that users change their Twitter passwords as a precautionary measure.
