MEET THE GUY FLOGGING HIS FACEBOOK DATA
It’s no secret data dramas have hit two of America’s most valuabled companies – Facebook and Google – hard over the last few months. Though despite the storm surrounding the Cambridge Analytica scandal, even in the wake of the misuse of 87 million Americans’ data, Facebook’s net worth only took a small hit.
One plucky social user thought it was about time the average Joe capitalised on this. 26-year-old Londoner and resident prankster Oli Frost put all of his Facebook data up for sale on eBay last weekend.
Though eBay has since taken the auction down, this was a great illustration of how an individual can hit out at those big corporations, who ultimately need us more than we need them.
