Alexa enters the dorm room

 Saint Louis University (SLU) has become the first college to integrate Amazon Alexa devices into every student residence. By installing a custom SLU skill on each device, students can ask questions specific to the university, such as ‘What time does the library close tonight?’

 YouTube is making it very easy to see how much time you spend watching videos

 When users open their account menu, they’ll now see an updated profile that shows the amount of time they’ve viewed videos that day, the previous day, and over the last week.

Forever 21 introduces AI visual search to online shopping

 The AI-enabled  feature, titled “Discover your style”, allows shoppers to search for items by clicking on icons that represent features that they want in an outfit – such as length or fit of a skirt, or the neckline and colour of a shirt.

 * Allowing consumers to search visually enables them to manifest more subtle likes and dislikes when searching for garments, which is something major brands and retailers have been experimenting with for years. Last year, for instance, ASOS introduced a visual search functionality that allows people to upload images to display similar items for sale on the site.*
