Instagram is building a new shopping app 

 Instagram is currently working on a new standalone app dedicated to shopping. The app will let users browse through collections of product photos from merchants, and allow them to purchase goods directly within the app.

* This is not the first-time Instagram has released a standalone app. The company has launched an app dedicated to Direct messaging and more recently launched IGTV, a new long-form video content app. This will, however, be the company’s most significant push into e-commerce so far and will further align it with Facebook who already have their Marketplace app.*

Vice opens a MUNCHIES food court

Vice’s online platform dedicated to food and drink has launched its first physical space dedicated to dining, located in the American Dream retail and entertainment complex.

Snap smartens itself up with appointment of first fashion editor

 Snap has joined its digital bedfellows such as Instagram and YouTube by appointing its first fashion editor, a position which centres on cultivating relationships between brands and celebrities such that they can engage more directly with their target audiences – and of course spend more on advertising.
