Google launches new social post styles to help small businesses get noticed this shopping season

In order to help small businesses stand out from the crowd, Google has launched new seasonal social post styles that feature information about a business and reviews from their customers.

Google says that last holiday season, “78% of shoppers who visited a store turned to online search first.” Using a social post from will allow a business to highlight “unique attributes—such as gift wrapping services or a kid-friendly environment.”*

 A WeChat-powered hotel in China lets you check in, enter your room, and get breakfast through your phone

China’s biggest app, WeChat, partnered with InterContinental to open a smart hotel in Shanghai that lets users book rooms, remotely check in, and use their phones as key cards — all without requiring human assistance. Once they’ve completed their reservation, travellers verify their identity at the hotel through facial recognition and collect their digital key card.

Instagram’s new profile designs emphasise users instead of their follower count

Instagram has announced that it is testing out new user profile layouts. he most notable part of the redesign is that follower counts appear to be de-emphasized, as they’re no longer at the top of your profile and are in a much smaller font.
