Splendid Sydney Launches Lovable Jen Hawkins Campaign

Splendid AU wrapped up a whirlwind media relations campaign with Jennifer Hawkins, for the new range of ice cream-inspired lingerie for Lovable. The campaign generated blanket media coverage around the country and cemented Splendid’s ability to deliver an inspired and original campaign in a matter of weeks.

Marmite Party Politics

Splendid GB helped Marmite capitalise on the build-up to the UK General Election by holding an election of its own…between "The Love Party" and "The Hate Party". We assembled an official group of ‘Cabinet Ministers’, who co-created organic non-ad content to generate buzz and spread the message through mutiple social media platforms, generating a mammoth digital PR case study involving bloggers, influencers fans, anti-fans and artists from all walks of life!

Splendid Sydney Loves Sounds!

In June 2010 Splendid Sydney donned their dance shoes and glow sticks as the national publicists’ for the 7th annual We Love Sounds, Australasia’s premier winter music festival. Offering everything from celebrated underground cool-cats such as The Revenge, to stars such as Underworld, this electro-charged festival saw the Splendid team managing the press for no less than 20 acts performing over two states and two countries. Highlights undoubtedly included; hanging with flying Dutchman and Ibiza favourite himself, Laidback Luke, as he dropped a few tunes at one of the most influential radio stations in Australia Triple J; stupidly cool producer, Steve Aoki, performing one of his infamous stage dives up close and personal; and of course, electro super group Underworld performing the dance anthem Born Slippy. Unforgettable.

Animatronics? Bring on Smirnoff Kreatures

As part of the second year of Smirnoff Creative Grants – an initiative which discovers, supports and awards those who create unforgettable nightlife experiences, Splendid Communications worked with promoters and animatronics experts, The InteraKT collective, to produce and amplify Kreatures, at London’s Corsica Studios. The result? A one-of-a-kind fusion of cutting edge electronic music with extraordinary animatronics and audio visual displays to the tune of some seriously dark dubstep!

M.A.C at Rosemount Australian Fashion Week

To celebrate 15 years of Australian Fashion Week, M.A.C hosted the opening night event with an intimate dinner for 100 fashion and media guests. Our challenge was to create a memorable dining experience in honor of Australian designers. We delivered a five-course meal within a studio space that had been entirely wrapped in white paper, courtesy of Australian paper engineer Benja Harney. The inspiration for the décor was a feature installation by New York designer, Zaldy, who had created 10 one-of-a-kind paper dresses.

The Ketel One House in Melbourne

A team of Melbourne’s leading design creative's collaborated to create a space that reflects the sophistication, authenticity and craftsmanship of Ketel One vodka. With a design team led by Lou Weis, an independent creative director who has a passion for collaborating with designers and artists on large scale environments, Ketel One House celebrated the ultimate in Melbourne craftsmanship.

Rob da Bank and Smirnoff Creative Grants

Splendid encourages budding promoters to apply for a Smirnoff Creative Grant by telling the inspiring story of Rob da Bank. Check out the video here to see his rise from tea boy at a music magazine to Bestival founder and extraordinaire.

Every year we try to find time during all of the festive socialising, turkey gobbling and gift grabbing to support those less fortunate.

So this year, we're launching Thank You Santa, a campaign to thank the guy who gives the most but gets the least! The goal is to generate at least one thousand thank yous via Facebook, Twitter and Flickr during the 12 days of Christmas.

To make it count, we'll donate £1 for each of the first thousand thank yous to Save the Children.

All you need to do is upload a photo or video of you or your kids with a Christmas gift or just post a thank you to Santa via email or on Facebook, Twitter or Flickr.

Marmite Thief on the Loose!  11/12/09

When Splendid heard a serial Marmite thief was on the loose in Northamptonshire, they smelt an opportunity, sent the disgruntled petrol station manager some complimentary stock and suggested he kept it ‘under the counter’ to avoid future raids. The follow up story generated 33 pieces of coverage reaching 20 million people with highlights including the Independent, Daily Star, Metro and BBC News online

Marmite treats this November  30/10/09

Look out Marmite lovers: the world’s first ever Marmite “Lover’s Nest” will pop up on Regent Street in London on 3rd November for two months only!

Splendid to launch Marmite's integrated campaign with Horrid Henry   10/09/09

Marmite have enlisted the help of Splendid to celebrate its partnership with Reading for Life with an integrated campaign with popular children's book character, Horrid Henry.

The campaign has been formed to highlight the importance of reading and encourage parents to read to their children, creating fun for the whole family. Splendid have enlisted celebrity mum and X-Factor mentor Sinitta to support the partnership, who will be hosting a children’s pyjama party, taking part in an online video feature and media interviews.

Splendid to launch E.Z. Pay credit cards  21/08/09

E.Z. Pay Ltd, part of the Phones 4u Group, has called on Splendid to handle the launch of two unique pay-as-you-go cards which are set to be the highest value cards on the market, and amongst the cheapest.

The programme will include targeted media relations, community outreach via social networking, and in-store creative communications. The Neon and Escape cards will be available from Phones 4u and online.

Got an incredible new phone fashion accessory?  Who you gonna call?  Well, Phones 4u dialled up Splendid’s number to handle the debut of its new Sony Ericsson C905 pink handset – an exclusive for the store.   Splendid crafted a TTL creative concept and drove PR coverage to position the handset as a must have style accessory for girls by banning men from their stores for the day.  London style icon Lizzy Jagger was on hand with a team of beauty and fashion experts to help girls get styled who were then photographed using the phone’s amazing camera function. Curve ball of the day was served up former Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott who gate-crashed the girls-only gig to check out the pinked up Tottenham Court Rd flagship store.
