To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Cleopatra, and the release of the Hollywood epic on Blu-ray for the first time, Splendid Communications hosted a make-up masterclass for online beauty editors and bloggers.
High-profile make-up artist Miriam Van Cooten from the renowned Cameron Jane Make-up Design College in Sydney, showed guests how to recreate Elizabeth Taylor’s iconic Cleopatra look and how it can be adapted for today’s occasions.
The Splendid team supported this activity with the placement of behind-the-scene stills and footage from the film, and secured reviews and promotional giveaways of the Cleopatra special edition Blu-ray in print and online media.
The campaign achieved widespread coverage across print, online media, broadcast and blogs including Cosmopolitan and OK! online, and Sky News, achieving more than 6 million impressions in total.
